summer 2023 – sugarloaf ridge state park – glamping with the fam

We’re scheduled to camp at a place that was recommended by a coworker. To be honest when they sent me an email with the information I didn’t think twice. I’ve always wanted to plan a trip with the family but year after year I continued to put it off. The cost for the ‘tent’ style glamping tent was affordable and fit the family. Why not give it a try?

Activities that I’d like to partake our first go-around.

Family Hikes

There’s a good selection of short scenic hikes that promise gorgeous views.

I kind of went overboard with this trip. I spent a lot of time reviewing different camping youtubes that go over the ‘best’ or must-have items for camping. I have to admit, while adding these items to my queue I filled a void that I was missing and that was traveling/camping in a truck. Heading off the beaten path and stay in a make-shift tent for the night only to continue the next day, a new adventure.

  • Shovel
  • Small tent lights
  • Stove
  • Axe
  • Tarp
  • 10-person tent
  • 2000 lumen tent light w/ detachable lights
  • Renting a uHaul to store all the stuff. Every trip involves stuffing the car with items often cramping up the space for the kids. This time we’re going to see if we can travel with some leg room.
